21 Oct 7 Rules for Models
JUST SEVEN?
Well, there’s more, but these are pretty important!
BE ON TIME
I cannot stress this enough, showing up late is inconsiderate to everyone involved in the shoot. If an issue arises and you are going to be late promptly let the photographer know.
NEVER, EVER DO A “NO CALL, NO SHOW”
There is never a reason to no call, no show if you are unable to make it to the shoot let the photographer know right away. The more notice you are able to give the better your chances will be of them wanting to reschedule.
ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING
Having a positive attitude will make the shoot more enjoyable for everyone. Don’t talk back, complain, swear, or argue. No one, and I mean no one likes a drama queen.
JUST SAY NO TO DRUGS AND ALCOHOL
Don’t do drugs or drink before or during a shoot. You are able to focus and perform better sober. It also allows your eyes to be focused and sharp versus looking out-of-focus and blah. If you’re offered drinks during a shoot, it can impede safety for yourself potentially as well. Safety first. Always be clear-headed on shoots.
MANNERS ARE BETTER THAN NO MANNERS
Please, thank you and you’re welcome go a long way.
GROUP SHOOT ETIQUETTE
Respect everyones personal property. Be kind, patient and never make a scene even if someone else is being catty towards you. Your poise and professionalism will not go unnoticed.
SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS
Use proper grammar and spelling. Never post anything you wouldn’t want others to see, such as a future employer, your kids, your parents, significant other. ALWAYS give credit to the photographer, H/MUA, designer, etc., when posting images from your shoot. Don’t trash talk, post rude comments or post your personal drama on social media it could cause you to lose opportunities and potential fans. As I said earlier, no one likes a drama queen.
